Dr. Frank Bia Speaks at Weill Cornell

Dr. Frank Bia, Medical Director at Americares, gave Global Health Grand Rounds in November. His talk focused on his AmeriCares experience with global maternal health initiatives and their work in Haiti as case studies. Dr. Bia discussed the Gift-in-Kind structure of AmeriCares focusing on the need to deliver the right materials in the right place at the right time. AmeriCares delivers medicine, relief supplies and health care to those in need in 167 countries and has recently responded to emergencies in Somalia, Turkey, Japan, Haiti, and Central America.
