Fostering Mentor-Mentee Relationships at the Center for Global Health

The Center for Global Health’s emphasis on strong mentorship has manifested over multiple generations of mentors and mentees. Weill Cornell Medicine’s Milestones highlights the difference that mentorship has made for trainees and faculty both at Weill Cornell and beyond.

Dr. Warren D. Johnson, Dr. Jean W. Pape, Dr. Daniel Fitzgerald, and Dr. Jyoti Mathad exemplify the type of mentor-mentee relationship that ensures the success of faculty and can lead to lasting collaboration and advances in global health. Over the span of 40 years, the Center for Global Health’s faculty have “sustained [a] culture of excellence that has led the Center to become an inspiring example of Dean Augustine M.K. Choi’s vision of mentorship at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Under Dean Choi’s leadership, Weill Cornell Medicine will prioritize this atmosphere of mentorship and collaboration going forward. Read more about Weill Cornell's vision of mentorship for the future here: Milestones December 2017
