Center Faculty Launch 3-day Intensive Course Featuring Leading Researchers in the Field of Global Infectious Diseases

The Center for Global Health hosted the inaugural Global Infectious Diseases Across a Woman’s Lifespan Course at Weill Cornell last month. The 2025 course featured 18 faculty from across the U.S., including Drs. Judy Currier of UCLA , Amita Gupta of Johns Hopkins, and Kelly Dooley of Vanderbilt University. It also focuses on offering career development and research training to support early career investigators from around the world dedicated to a research career in global women’s health and infectious diseases.
A total of 85 participants from 45 institutions and 15 countries were in attendance. The course leaders include Center faculty members, Drs. Jennifer Downs, Sasha Fahme, Jyoti Mathad, Maragaret McNairy, Lindsey Reif, and Kathleen Walsh. More information and course content can be found on the Weill Cornell Women in Global Health Research Initiative website.
